TL;dr Gingerbread whoopie pie
 
This flavor came from the Farmer's Market in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. There's a family who used to set up every Saturday and they would have the most amazing whoopie pies. For folks reading this who are asking themselves "WTH is a whoopie pie?", it's cake batter baked into cookie size/shape and them sandwiched with some kind of filling. In this case the cake is gingerbread and the filling is vanilla buttercream.

The picture is of Saddleback Caterpillars (Acharia stimulea) that were on my front porch one day. I took a million pictures of them with my old LG phone. If you read any of the other descriptions for this line, you will see that my front porch is a magical place. Glad I didn't try to pick them up because according to Wikipedia, they are venomous.
